Climax #4, shop number 1682, was not only the last of the Climax
locomotives purchased by the Union Freight RR, it was one of the last
Climax locomotives to leave the plant. This was a modern Climax
in every respect. This was the only of the U.F.RR.'s locos to
have the cast steel truck sideframes. The engines had dual
controls, and you can see part of the front throttle lever through the
front cab window.
